It takes courage to seek help for problems and issues.
I’ve been a therapist for over ten years. In that time, I’ve earned my masters in Rehabilitation Counseling and worked as a counselor at the Department of Corrections. My experience as a mental health professional has given me a greater appreciation for the courage it took you to start your therapy journey.
The most important part of the therapeutic alliance is the relationship between you and me—the therapist and the client. Thank you for the trust and faith you have in me to enter such a relationship.
I take a person-centered approach to counseling and believe in showing empathy and warmth, and being non-judgemental. I believe that our thinking influences the way we feel and behave, and that you have resources and abilities you need to solve your problems. I embrace my role in helping you recognize your own resiliency. Together we will learn coping strategies and unlock your inner strength, helping you to overcome life obstacles. I believe in you!
My specialities include: depression, anxiety, adjustment changes, career development, grief issues, alcohol issues, drug addiction.
I work with males and female adults, and teenagers ages 16 and up.
