– Cinderella (2015)
From a young age I have always known I wanted to be in a helping profession. All roads, along with hard work and dedication, have led me to become a social worker. I want my clients to be met with empathy and respect when coming to counseling. I am an experienced therapist and I use a combination of skills and interventions to foster resiliency and empower those that seek therapy with me.
I like to use the fundamentals of social work practice in my approach to therapy: unconditional positive regard and a holistic approach to presenting problems. I have a trauma-informed and person-centered methodology to guide my interactions with others. I integrate EMDR to my practice to aid in processing and healing from trauma. I employ CBT and DBT skills with my clients to help develop effective coping skills, positive thinking and to utilize self-care techniques.
My goal is to provide clients with a safe space to process their feelings and to work through challenges that are unique to them. I believe the therapeutic alliance is the single greatest tool we have to help others on their journey to health and healing. I am so glad to have you join us at JSA.
