Destanie

I earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Counseling from Columbia International University, where I developed a strong foundation in evidence-based therapeutic practices. I was drawn to the field of counseling and had a deep desire to help individuals experience healing, growth, and lasting change.

I believe that every person has inherent value and possesses the internal capacity for growth and transformation. My role as a therapist is to create a safe, supportive environment where clients can access and strengthen their inner resources. Through this process, individuals can move toward greater wholeness, independence, and more meaningful connections with others.

My therapeutic approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing, which I use to help clients identify unhelpful patterns, build practical skills, and move toward their goals. I am particularly passionate about trauma-informed work and skill-building, helping clients develop effective strategies for emotional regulation and resilience.

Ultimately, I view therapy as a collaborative process that empowers individuals to heal, grow, and live more fully aligned with their values.
