The most important part of a therapeutic relationship is creating a safe space for clients.
Hi there! My name is Laura Stokes, and I’d be honored to work with your children and family.
I believe therapy can be beneficial for anyone. It’s a partnership between the therapist and the client, with the ultimate goal being improved wellness and quality of life. I draw on social work fundamentals including a person-centered, nonjudgmental approach with an emphasis on the dignity and worth of each individual client. To me, the most important part of a therapeutic relationship is creating a safe space for clients to process thoughts and feelings and being met with an empathetic response.
