Who is your therapist?

Today the act of seeing a psychotherapist is becoming so accepted that many folks are asking and sharing therapist names just like we share names of doctors or massage therapists. What an exciting and gratifying paradigm shift this is!

Jill Smith, Columbia and Lexington Counseling

We would love to be the answer when someone asks you: Who is your therapist? Our goal is for you to  feel this is a special place as soon as you walk in the door. And we would be honored to be the therapist counseling you and your family.

Individual Psychotherapy

We believe that consulting a psychotherapist should be as accessible and as normal as developing your career, exploring a hobby or going to the gym weekly to get healthy. Just as we take care of our bodies and physical health, a vital element of self-care is devoting focused time and energy to exploring and understanding our thoughts and feelings. Couples Counseling

Grounded in the theory and process of Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), we approach couples counseling through an attachment lens. We believe that when couples fall in love they become securely emotionally attached.  And that’s a good thing. Learn more about our couples and relationship counseling.

Therapy for Children & Adolescents

We are amazed at the growth and changes we see in the kids we work with.  It is an honor to help them with their feelings of sadness and depression, anxiety, social and school worries, bullying, ADHD, and so much more. Learn more about our therapy for children & adolescents.

Family Therapy

Family is central and is, many times, where it all begins and ends. Our belief is that we can work with every individual of a family and do great things. When Columbia and Lexington families come to therapy at our offices, it is a magical thing. We honor the time and commitment it takes to get multiple people from your family in the office at the same time and we think you are brilliant for making your family therapy happen.
