Comprehensive psychological testing
Through the evaluation process, our goal is to provide insight into your or your child's strengths, challenges, learning profile, and overall well-being.
What an evaluation includes
We help individuals and families understand what makes a mind unique, and identify the supports and strategies that help them thrive.
With expertise in neurodevelopmental and learning differences such as ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, and dyslexia, Jill Smith & Associates supports individuals and their families through a careful, collaborative evaluation.
Depending on the concerns or questions that prompted the referral, we assess aspects of your or your child's skills and development. This may include cognitive functioning, academic skills, attention and executive functioning, behavior, social skills, and emotional regulation.
To develop a full picture, we gather information from multiple sources—often including parents, educators, and the person being evaluated—through interviews, observations, questionnaires, and standardized assessments.
During a feedback meeting, we provide a comprehensive written report, review our clinical impressions and findings, and explain their significance in clear terms. Together, we discuss next steps, including resources, accommodations, and intervention strategies to support confidence and success at home, at school, and in the community.
Dr. Claire Wellborn
Testing for ADHD and anxiety
Dr. Claire Wellborn conducts child developmental and psychological evaluations when attention, self-regulation, anxiety, and learning are the questions.
Her evaluations look at ADHD and learning differences such as dyslexia, along with anxiety when that is part of the picture. The work is family- and child-centered, with collaboration at home and at school.
