You might relate if
You might relate if
Past events still show up as flashbacks, nightmares, panic, numbness, or a body that stays on high alert long after the danger has passed.
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is often sought after accidents, assault, medical trauma, childhood wounds, loss, or other experiences that the nervous system could not fully digest.

FAQs
What to know before starting EMDR.
Will I have to tell every detail of my trauma?
Not necessarily. EMDR processing does not require a full narrative retelling of every event. Your therapist will explain what is needed for each phase and respect your pace.
How many EMDR sessions will I need?
It varies widely based on history, current stability, and goals. Some focused targets shift relatively quickly; complex trauma often needs a longer course of care.
Is EMDR safe if I feel easily overwhelmed?
Safety comes first. We spend time on preparation and regulation skills. If EMDR is not the right fit yet, we still offer trauma-informed talk therapy.
Can EMDR be done via telehealth?
Sometimes, when clinically appropriate and with the right setup. Your therapist will help determine whether in-person or online is the better option for you.
