Hi I’m Jonathan Pritchard, therapist here at JSA.
Believe it or not, guys are coming to therapy. And the most shocking part is they wind up liking it and coming back!
Another trend I love: guys are bringing their wives and girlfriends in for couples counseling, not just the other way around.
I work with men and with couples (and lots of women individually, too, btw) and absolutely love what I do. I am trained in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT) and spend much time and thought collaborating with my colleagues about couples stuck in places and how I can show up for maximum effectiveness each session. Nothing makes me happier than to sit with a couple and provide a safe space for all to share…but learn to hear and understand and attune to each other differently, as well.
I like to think I create a “no pressure” vibe in my office. Come as you are and we will hang out. You don’t have to say it perfectly or have everything organized. Let’s just meet each other and see what comes up. I want you to meet your goals in your relationships, work, and with friends.
We are a secular group practice, welcoming everyone without judgment. I am 100% in that space.
